Salt-n-Pepa’s debut album Hot, Cool & Vicious was one of the first rap albums by an all-female group. With the exception of one album, nine of the albums listed are debuts. This list below spans the genre’s humble beginnings, from hip-hop’s "Golden Era," which bore witness to the majority of these historic album drops, to the present day.
